Default pandoras battery in 3000?

would it fry the psp if u put the pandora battery into the psp 3000? my buddy said it would damage the motherboard but idk.

I'm no expert on Pandoras batteries but, no it won't damage the PSP but, it wont work either. That's what I was told anyway .
