Default Time to upgrade my CFW?

Hey everyone, it's been a while since I've signed and it seems a lot of progress has been made lately.

Anyway, I have a fat PSP running 3.52m33-4 and I use it mainly to play PSP, PSX, and SNES games. I wanted to play Chrono Cross for PSX and found out that it freezes at the first boss, so I read that using 3.71m33-4 to run 3.72 pops will take care of that.

Before I upgrade my CFW to 3.71m33.. do any of you have any other suggestions? Is there a newer firmware that's "better" for what I'll be doing with it?

If it's PSX games, then yes, upgrade to 3.71M33. There is newer firmware, but PSX games work best on 3.71M33 from what I've read .
